TERMS

Who runs this, and what the deal is when you buy something.
THE SHORT VERSION
Draft for review. These pages carry legal obligations and need checking by someone qualified before the shop opens.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM

Ormr is a trading name of Metic State Digital, a sole trader business run by Robert Harris.

Address for correspondence: The Bristol Office, 2nd Floor, 5 High Street, Westbury‑on‑Trym, Bristol BS9 3BY. Contact is by email in the first instance, at info@ormr.co.uk.

Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller.

HOW A SALE WORKS

Every item is unique. Listing something is an invitation to treat, not an offer, and the contract is made when payment is taken and the order confirmation is sent.

This business is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on anything here and no VAT invoice can be issued. If that ever changes it will be said plainly and prices will show it.

If an item is listed at a price that is obviously wrong, a decimal point in the wrong place rather than a price you think is generous, the order can be cancelled before dispatch and refunded in full, with nothing owed by you and no substitute sent. That is the only situation in which a sale can be undone from this side, and it does not apply once an item has been posted.

NOTHING AGE RATED

Nothing here carries a legal age rating of 12 or above. Selling a rated game or film by post needs the buyer's age verified when they order and proof of age at the door, and a shop of this size can do neither properly, so it does not stock them. Everything on the shelf is unrated or rated for everybody.

IN THE POST

An item is at the shop's risk until it is delivered to you. If it is lost or damaged on the way, that is the shop's loss to bear and yours to be refunded or replaced for, and you will not be asked to chase Royal Mail.

PLACING AN ORDER

Choosing an item and pressing buy takes you to Stripe's checkout, where you enter your delivery address and card details. Nothing is charged until you confirm there. You can go back at any point before that, and you can correct anything you have typed by editing it on the checkout page before confirming.

The contract is filed only in the sense that the order record and the confirmation email are kept. You can ask for a copy at any time. The contract is concluded in English.

An order confirmation is sent by email as soon as payment succeeds. If it does not arrive within an hour, check the junk folder and then write to info@ormr.co.uk.

RESERVES AND THE QUEUE

A reserve takes an item off the shelf for 48 hours. It is free, it commits you to nothing, and letting it run out has no consequence at all.

One reserve at a time per person, so it stays fair. Putting your name down for something already reserved gives you first refusal for 24 hours if it comes free, and nothing more than that.

Reserves can be cancelled from this side if the system is being gamed, though in practice that means somebody reserving a dozen things through a dozen addresses, not somebody thinking it over.

PAYMENT

Payment is taken by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and never touch this shop, which is both safer for you and simpler for a shop this size.

Nothing is charged for a reserve, and nothing is stored to charge later.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply in full and nothing here reduces them. The returns page sets out how they work in practice.

There is no alternative dispute resolution scheme in use and this business is not obliged to use one. Complaints are dealt with by the person who packed the item, because there is only one person. Email info@ormr.co.uk and it gets answered.

THE BORING PART

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, because that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you bought. This version is dated 2 September 2026.
